PayTrack Privacy Policy

Who we are

PayTrack is an app for recording payments across bank, cash and wallet accounts and checking them against bank statements. It is made by Zahid Abbas ("we", "us", "our"), the maker of BizTrack.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter in PayTrack (accounts, parties, payments, imported statement lines, journal imports and reconciliation results) is saved in a database file on your own device. On Windows this is Documents\PayTrack\paytrack.db. We never receive or see this data.

Statement analysis with Google Gemini

When you use the Analyzer, PayTrack turns the statement you picked (PDF pages or an image) into images and sends them to Google's Gemini API to read the transactions. This happens only when you start an analysis, and only for that file. The request uses your own Gemini API key, so it is handled under your agreement with Google and Google's Privacy Policy. Statement passwords are used on your device to open the PDF and are never sent.

Your Gemini API key

The API key you enter in Settings is kept in your operating system's secure storage on your device and is sent only to Google with each analysis request.

License activation

To start your free trial or activate a license, PayTrack sends our license server:

• Your license key (or your name, business name and WhatsApp number when you request a trial)
• A device ID and device name, so your license works on the devices it was issued for

This is used only to issue and check your license and to contact you about your trial or subscription. The license server is hosted by Supabase on our behalf.

No tracking

PayTrack has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not sell, rent or share your information with advertisers or anyone else.

Payments

Subscriptions are paid manually via bank transfer, JazzCash or EasyPaisa and confirmed over WhatsApp. We do not collect any payment card details.

Backups, exports and deletion

Database backups and CSV exports are files saved where you choose; keep them safe, since they contain your financial records. You can delete records inside the app at any time. To remove everything, uninstall PayTrack and delete the Documents\PayTrack folder (on Android, uninstalling removes the app's data). To have your license details deleted, contact us below.

Permissions

On Android, PayTrack uses internet access (for Gemini statement analysis and license checks) and the system file picker to open statements and save backups. It does not read your contacts, location, messages or other apps.

Children's privacy

PayTrack is a business tool. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
